Project description

The main goal of the project is to contribute to the efficiency and quality of the judicial system in the field of protection of victims of crime and protection of minors in family law disputes. Part of this effort is a pilot project focusing on the settlement of family legal disputes in selected district courts. In the interest of the best possible protection of minors, the project aims to create close cooperation between judges, psychologists, social protectionists, and possibly mediators in family legal disputes, who are specially trained to deal with minors. Also, the environment in which minors interact should meet their needs and the whole hearing should be less stressful for them. Victims of domestic violence need extraordinary understanding and protection. Therefore, the main purpose is to fill gaps that are not covered by the gender-based violence agenda, while drawing synergies from existing overlaps. The result of the project should be comprehensive protection of vulnerable participants.
